Sanwo-Olu Suspend Campaign Rally,Commiserate with Train Mishap Victims at LASUTH. ……..as LASEMA record 6 deaths and 29 seriously injured people.

The Lagos State Governor,Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu earlier today 9th of March.2023 suspended his three days campaign rally to commiserate with the victims of the Lagos train mishap which claim about six lives and many left with serious injuries.
The incident was said to have happened in the early hours of the morning involving the Lagos State Government staff bus with number plate 04A- 48LA that was conveying workers to their offices in the Shogunle area of Lagos State and a public train.
Governor Sanwo-Olu arrived the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital to see the victims of the unfortunate BUS/Train accident.
Setting the information right to the public, it was involved in the accident as been identified by as a Staff bus of the Lagos State Govt and occupants are mostly Civil Servants.
The Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gives a brief of the situation:
The Location of the accident was PWD Sogunle.
The bus which is identified as Bus ‘33’ was moving from Isolo to Alausa.
The driver of the bus was said to have survived in the accident and is presently in Police custody.
It was also gathered from the report that the accident was caused by the driver’s error.
It was also learnt that the bus was converging mostly Civil Servants and dependents

6 deaths (2 brought in dead, as announced by LASEMA, while 4 more dead at the hospital)
42 moderate injuries
29 serious injuries
8 mild injuries
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu thanked the LASEMA, Security agencies, Staff and Students of LASUTH for the quick response.
He also thanked the Staff of Lagos State Government for showing up for their loved ones and also encouraging them to be hopeful.
Governor Sanwo-Olu suspends his campaigns for 3 days:
He declares half day work Tomorrow Friday 10th March,2023 for Civil Servants.
He gave order for all Flags to be raised at Half Mast
Also declares 3 Days Mourning for the State.
Governor Sanwo-Olu who appreciated the concern and present of his fellow contestants, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes Vivor and Azeez Olajide Adeniran, the Governor thank them for coming to the hospital to also commiserate with the Victims and the State Government.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu finally says,the area is a triage center, which cases of this magnitude are immediately profiled and attended to, therefore quickly identifying the various levels of injuries of the patients and each will be sent to various wards and others for treatment.
