Eid-El-Fitril: Eshilokun greets Muslims; ask them to exhibit virtues imbibed in the Holy month.

The Senator-Elect of Lagos Central Senatorial district and current Deputy Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni Congratulates Muslims in Lagos State, Nigeria and indeed all over the world, for seeing the end of the month long Ramadan fasting; and prays that Allah accept it as an act of Ibaadah from them.

While felicitating with them for the opportunity the Holy month offered to seek forgiveness, mercy, and spiritual cleansing from Almighty Allah, he enjoined them to keep the virtues of self discipline, piety and charity practiced by them all through the year into another Ramadan fasting period.

This, he notes, will enhance the quality of their citizenship and promote peaceful coexistence with people of other faiths. He believes that the fact that the Ramadan period started when the lent, observed by Christians, was ongoing is a pointer that Allah is ready to forgive the transgressions of Nigerians and usher in prosperity in the country, especially as we prepare to swear in a new government under the able leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President elect.
