Distiguished Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni, representing the Lagos Central Senatorial District at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly has expressed profound gratitude to his predecessor, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, for continuing to facilitate the provision of *Empowerment Training Program* for youths in the Senatorial district, even after the expiration of her tenure in office.
Senator Eshilokun sees this as a clear testimony of the unflinching love Senator Remi Tinubu has for the good people of the district, and her knack for always putting smiles on the faces of the youths as well as the downtrodden in the society. He further commended her motherly disposition, noting that, many of the politicians in his class has benefitted, tremendously, from her benevolence and support; as well as that of the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He concluded by urging the trainees and beneficiaries to “look forward with hope and courage” to the bright future ahead of them; and “make yourselves better persons”, while wishing them success in their endeavours.
Senator Eshilokun spoke at the closing ceremony of the four days training and empowerment programme organised by Industrial Arbitration Panel (IAP), in conjunction with Delev Speed Integrated services limited.
The trainees, drawn from all Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas of the Lagos Central Senatorial District got trained in Confetioneries, Beautification & Cosmetology and photography. Some of the trainees who distinguished themselves in training, like Ayinde Mojeeb and Adenike Ojo got a hundred thousand naira each to start off.
At the event, Hon. Wahab Alawiye King, the Snr. Special Assistant to the President, represented Senator Tinubu at the event, which was also graced by the Chairman of Lagos Island East, Hon Folawiyo, APC LGA Chairman, Alhaji A.G.O. Sodiq, APC Lagos Central youth leader, Hon Eshilokun, Vice Chairman of Lagos Island LGA., and former Chairman of Lagos Island, Kamal Bashua; among other APC leaders.
