Sango Ota Residence Groun In Pains As Flood Submerged Parts Of The Ancient Town.

Residents of parts of Sango Ota,a suburb of Ogun State, South West, Nigeria are currently going through hard time as flood has taken over parts of the ancient city following the raining season recently.

Worst hit by the flood is Sango under bridge as residents coming from Lagos State to Ijoko Ota via Sango could not make their way home as they have to look for alternative routes to their various homes.

A resident of Ijoko Ota, Mr. Ganiyu Olamilekan vented his anger on both the State and Federal Government whom he accused of being insensitive to the plight of the citizens.
According to the civil servant,who lives in Ijoko Ota but works in Lagos State.
He said, he always get home late at night adding that he no longer go to work with his car as there is no way he could put his car on the road due to the flood which has damaged the road.
“Both the State and Federal Government are insensitive to the plight of the masses.
Expressing his displeasure,he further asked, “How could they allow this road to degenerate to this extent and feel unconcerned? We pay our taxes so what are they doing with the money not to talk of the internal generated revenue (IGR) of both the state and federal government which runs into millions of Naira, he queried”.
