The Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial district at the Senate, Most Distiguished Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni has felicitated with the First lady of Nigeria and Yeye Asiwaju of Lagos, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu on the occasion of her 63rd birthday anniversary.
Senator Eshilokun noted that the First Lady is a mother and an outstanding leader, not only in Lagos Central, but in all of Lagos State, Nigeria and Africa. He asserted that the Yeye Asiwaju of Lagos and Nigeria’s amiable First lady has served Lagos and indeed, Nigeria, in many capacities with indelible footprints.
Senator Eshilokun also remembered the contributions of Nigeria’s Fist Lady to the people of Lagos Central, Lagos State and indeed Nigeria, as a Senator of the Federal Republic for three consecutive terms; noting her invaluable contribution to the development of quality legislation and oversight functions in the country and especially, her impactful representation on Lagos Central Senatorial constituency.
To Senator Eshilokun, Yeye Asiwaju Tinubu is “a worthy predecessor, an iconic representative of her people, whose legacy I hope to uphold and improve upon”. Stating further, “she is an excellent leader in Lagos State that has made her mark in the political and social life of Lagosians”. He also extolled the accommodating and nurturing virtues of the First Lady; appreciating her for fully supporting his Senatorial ambition.
In Congratulating Senator Tinubu, he said “While wishing our mama, the ever supportive wife of our political leader and mentor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a great birthday, I also wish her very many happy returns of the day, to be able to continue to impact on more lives in Lagos, in particular, and Nigeria in general”.
