World Malaria Day: Ogun Police Medical, Partners With the Life Projects, Hold Free Medical Outreach in Abeokuta.

The Ogun State Police Command, in collaboration with The Life Projects and other corporate partners, has organized a free medical outreach to mark the 2026 World Malaria Day, providing healthcare services to officers, their families, and civilian staff.
The outreach, held on April 24, 2026, at the Police Officers’ Mess in Ibara, Abeokuta, focused on malaria prevention and treatment under the theme, “Driven to end malaria; Now we can. Now we must.”
Beneficiaries received free medical consultations, malaria parasite testing, anti-malarial medications, and Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets. Health education sessions were also conducted, emphasizing environmental hygiene and preventive practices to reduce the spread of malaria within police barracks and surrounding communities.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, highlighted the importance of a healthy workforce in ensuring effective policing and public safety. He noted that the initiative reflects the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to prioritizing health as a key component of service delivery.
Ojajuni also commended The Life Projects and its partners for their support, describing their contribution as vital to improving the wellbeing of officers and the broader community.
