IGP Finally Ordered The Posting and Redeployment of Senior Police Officers with New Ranks.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc, has ordered the immediate posting and redeployment of senior officers and newly Promoted Senior Police Officers.
According to the statement signed by the Director of News,Force Public Relations Officer, CSP OLUMUYIWA ADEJOBI, mnipr, mipra.
The IGP has ordered the posting and redeployment of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs), Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) to Departments, Commands, and Formations.
This he said is in line with the IGP’s manpower development policy of placing round pegs in round holes.
Some of the Officers who are redeploy to different departments and formation to take up their duties and responsibilities include,
DIGDanmallamMohammed,fdc, redeployed to the Department of Finance and Administration.
Some Assistant Inspectors-General of Police were also posted to take up the duties and responsibilities of the Deputy Inspectors-General of Police in charge of the different Departments of the Force.
AIG Hafiz M. Inuwa, mni is posted to resume as the DIG Department of Training and Development .
AIG Aji A. Janga, mni to resume as DIG Department of Research and Planning.
AIG Adeleke A. Bode, mni. to DIG Department of Operations.
AIG Habu Sani Ahmadu has been posted as Force Secretary.
While AIG Shuaya’u Lafia Abdulyari assumes office as the AIG in charge of the Force Intelligence Bureau, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The statement also stated that similar promotion and redeployment has applied
to some Commissioners which include the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, fdc who has been promoted and redeploy as AIG Zone 2 Lagos.
Others also posted to also take up the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Inspectors-General of Police in charge of Zonal Police Commands are
CP Matthew Akinyosola, mni to AIG Police Mobile Force .
CP Jonathan Towuru, mni. to AIG Zone 6 Calabar.
CP Akande Sikiru Kayode to AIG Zone 11 Osogbo.
CP Abimbola Adebola Shokoya to AIG Zone 17 Akure.
This is said to be in line with the IGP’s mandate and strategies in order to strengthen the operational structures of state commands.
IGP Usman Alkali equally ordered the provisional posting of the following Commissioners of Police to Commands pending the approval of the Police Service Commission.
i. CP Adebola A. Hamzat, fdc as CP Adamawa State
ii. CP Emeka Frank Mba, mni as CP Ogun State.
iii. CP Suleiman A. Yusuf, mni as CP Taraba State.
iv. CP Idowu Owohunwa as CP Lagos State.
v. CP Faleye E.S. Olaleye as CP Ebonyi State.
The Police Boss who ordered the posting to be effective immediately has also charged the newly posted officers to hit the ground running to ensure the mission, vision, and policy statements of his administration are effectively complied with in the areas of crime-fighting, public cooperation, and safety. He also called for support and cooperation from members of the public to enable the newly posted senior officers to perform optimally on their mandate.
