The Senator-Elect,Lagos Central Senatorial district,Okanlomo Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni, celebrate with the good people of Lagos Central Senatorial district, in particular, and Lagos State, in general, on the occasion of today’s Democracy day.
He said,”I am particularly glad that this year’s Democracy day is being celebrated under the leadership of one of the “soldiers” that fought for our second Independence, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed forces.”
Eshilokun recall the contribution of Asiwaju Tinubu and other pro democracy activists, as well as Nigerians, that jeopardize their safety and comfort to embarrass the military into returning the country to the path of democracy after the callous annulment of the June 12 Presidential election, believed to have been won by Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.
He went on to say,”I also commend Rtd General Mohammadu Buhari’s Government for giving national recognition to the landmark day which June 12 epitomizes in our political history”.
“I will seize this opportunity to admonish Nigerians to hold dare the importance of the day and treasure the Democracy we are enjoying now. I also enjoin us to transform our diversity to promoting harmonious relationship among us.
