Apapa Customs Sets New Daily Revenue Record of ₦20.1bn Under New Controller Oshoba.

The Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has achieved a historic daily revenue collection of ₦20,156,077,098.56, just one day after the new Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, assumed office.
According to a statement issued on September 10, 2025, by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Tunde Ayagbalo, the record-breaking figure achieved on Tuesday, September 9 marks the highest ever daily revenue generated by any customs command in Nigeria under the Unified Customs Management System (B’Odogwu). This surpasses the previous record of ₦18 billion.
Comptroller Oshoba, who took over leadership on September 8, pledged to build on his predecessor’s legacy and exceed revenue expectations.
He described the achievement as an early indication of what lies ahead during his tenure.
He credited the success to the dedication of officers and collaboration with stakeholders, emphasizing that collective effort, discipline, and commitment to duty are key drivers of progress.
Addressing senior officers at his first official meeting, Oshoba urged them to raise performance standards, stressing that measurable results are the ultimate benchmark for service excellence.
He also praised the B’Odogwu platform as a vital tool for modernizing customs operations and enhancing Nigeria’s position in African trade facilitation.
