A Popular Estate Mogul has decry his alleged involvement in Iraye community clash with Police.

A popular estate mogul in Lagos state,the Managing Director, Omolamina Global Ventures Limited (OGL)Otunba Kamorudeen Lamina popularly called Sir K Oluwo has decry his alleged involvement in the unrest going on in Iraye,a village under Ogijo in Ogun State.
In an interview with Peoples Daily Info Correspondent in his office at Ikorodu,Lagos State, the estate mogul who was alleged by some individuals as the one causing unrest and unleashing Police Men on the community people in Iraye village asked if there’s the possibility of an individual operating in two different locations at the same time and same day.
According to Sir Kay, “I am into property and estate management,we buy and sell land.I am not a land grabber, land grabbers stay inside the bush.Am an hotelier and also a motor dealer.Before we buy any land, we must enquirer from the family and State Government. Our enemies tag us with the name ‘land grabbers’.How can we buy a plot of land for 25million, 30 million and refer to as a land grabber? We have decided with our Lawyers to sue who ever tag us with that name.
Our business cut across the Country,we also buy and sell land in Lagos, Ogun, Abuja, Port-harcourt and other places.
Narrating his ordeal in Iraye village,Sir K stated, On the 20th of September, the very day I heard police Officers led by the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations, DC OPS Ogun State Command,Elewe-eran, DC Sanni led some teams of police officers to install peace at Iraye village due to the undue killings and unrest cause by some cultists and some individuals in the village.
Sir K said,On that very day,I had a court case at Ilaro High court in Ogun State, any day the case comes up, I always go a day before the court date to be close by which happened to be on the 19th of September, 2022, I was with my Lawyer and six others including Wale Kuji whom I was charge along side with.We left Lagos to Ilaro and I lounge in an Hotel not too far from the court with my people and attended the court presided over by Justice Oyajimi,both charge sheet and hotel receipt of about seven rooms we collected is with me.
He further said, we checked out of the hotel by 8:30am of the following day,20th of September to the court,we left Ilaro and got to Lagos some minutes after 7pm in the evening.

Therefore all the allegations against me are all fallacy, I have the court charge sheet and hotel receipt which anyone can go there to verify if I was there with my people or not.Those alleging me knows those causing trouble in that place he said.
Otunba who was annoyed,mentioned one of the people causing problem in Iraye and refer to him as a terrorist saying Police from Ogun State and Abuja are looking for him.
According to Sir K, aka Eleda and his cult group should be held responsible for any crime committed in that community due to his boast and claim that nobody can arrest him cause he has a retired DIG from Sagamu as his back bone.
He identified the activities of the cultists as the reason why there has not been any returns on his investment in Iraye and break down of law and order by the many cultists whom he said they now come from Lagos and Ogun state to make the village their abode. The were alleged to have forcefully ejected some of the elders who were against their activities.
Otunba Lamina who has been into property since 2001 said that their sour practices coupled with the bent for compelling the company to pay twice for a piece of land has really slowed down business for him and one of it is Iraye village.
According to him,”I bought 40 acres of land at Iraye in 2014 from Moyangbe and Bolumade family with the necessary documents from both families. In 2015,some members of the family sue me with the head of the family and some members of the family to court over the sale of the land which case is still pending at the high court Shagamu,this is one of challenges faced in this business as earlier said.
Since the case is in court, I have never been there for more than five years now and I have never assign any body there because they have turn the place to a den of cultists, he said.
Otunba Lamina also lamented about his loosed of properties worth 500million due to cult activities in Iraye.

“Some families always denied being part of the money earlier paid for the land and would request for another payment or disturb the construction work. To avoid igniting trouble or obstructing the business, we pay another money. This is really affecting our businesses as we often pay twice for the same plot of land,” he further explained.
On measures they have taken or would take to ensure Omonile don’t compel them to pay a second time, Lamina stressed that he has solicited government intervention, adding that they are facing serious problems at Lekki and Ikorodu axis.

“We wrote to Lagos State Government attaching our documents. Some have been invited to the land grabber’s office for questioning. Most times, after such invitation, the families do petition us to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) with phantom allegations that have no bearing with land.
“We have always honoured such invitation from the police, and after our explanation(s), the police would discover the inherent lies painted by the land owners.
He salute the police for their proactiveness and depth of investigation each time they had such incident.”
Asked how he has been able to deal with emerging security threats and convince his customers that their investment is safe, Otunba Kamorudeen, whose business cuts across some major cities in Rivers, Ogun, Lagos and Abuja, reiterated that in all their estates, they provide robust security with good perimeter fencing.

To complement that, “we have mobile policemen deployed to our estate and we ensure that every resident has a gate pass without which such person can’t have access into our facilities.
Otunba Kamorudeen, who was elated with the enormity of work done for them by the police, thanked the Inspector General of Police for his assistance that has helped developers to deal with some of these challenges, adding that they have always had effective cordial relationship with the police anytime they complained to them.
