The Ogun State Police Command has officially welcomed its new Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, B.Ed,LL.B,MA,psc,FCSS,MNIPR.
Following his recent deployment by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, psc(+), NPM.
Born on April 3, 1970, in Ondo State, CP Ojajuni brings over 30 years of distinguished service to his new role. A graduate of History Education with a Bachelor’s degree, he also holds an LL.B in Law and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies. He is currently pursuing a doctoral (PhD) degree.

CP Ojajuni’s extensive career in the Nigeria Police Force began in 1996 when he joined as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
He is highly regarded for his operational and administrative expertise, as well as his commitment to community-oriented policing and professionalism.

Before his appointment as Commissioner for Ogun State, he served as the Commissioner of Police for INTERPOL Nigeria in Lagos, where he was instrumental in dismantling criminal syndicates and enhancing transnational crime-fighting initiatives. He has held several strategic roles, including Deputy Commissioner of Police at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ogun State, and was recognized as the Area Commander of the Year in 2021 while serving in Lagos.

His international experience is noteworthy, having participated in global workshops and conferences, including those organized by INTERPOL and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He has also represented Nigeria in prestigious security summits, solidifying his role as a key figure in international policing.

In addition to his impressive credentials, CP Ojajuni has received numerous accolades, including the African Nations Builders Award and recognitions from the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria. He is passionate about fostering professionalism within the force and remains committed to enhancing police-community relations.
