CP Ojajuni Visits Key Security Agencies, Reinforces Inter-Agency Collaboration in Ogun.

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, has conducted a series of high-level familiarization visits to major security formations across the state, reaffirming the importance of strong inter-agency collaboration in addressing evolving security challenges.
According to the report released by the Ogun State Police PPRO DSP Oluseyi B Babaseyi anipr,the visits took him to the 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), all within Ogun State. The engagements were aimed at strengthening operational synergy, enhancing intelligence sharing, and promoting coordinated responses to security threats.
At the 35 Artillery Brigade in Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, CP Ojajuni was received by Brigadier General Godwin U. Nwamba. Both leaders reviewed existing joint security frameworks and discussed improved coordination in rapid response, intelligence-led deployments, and joint patrols in identified hotspots. They emphasized sustained communication and readiness to tackle violent crimes and communal unrest.
During his visit to the DSS Ogun State Command, CP Ojajuni met with State Director R.A. Adelakun. Discussions centered on reinforcing intelligence-driven policing through enhanced surveillance and timely sharing of actionable information. Both agencies stressed the need for proactive measures to prevent security threats and combat organized crime effectively.
At the Nigeria Immigration Service, Comptroller Olufunke Yetunde Odusote hosted the police chief. Talks focused on border security, migration control, and strategies to curb illegal activities such as human trafficking and smuggling. The agencies agreed on strengthening intelligence exchange and joint monitoring of border communities to address cross-border crimes.
Similarly, at the NSCDC Ogun State Command, Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo received the delegation. Discussions highlighted the protection of critical national infrastructure and the need for joint operations against vandalism and sabotage. Both sides also emphasized improved coordination in emergency response and crisis management.
CP Ojajuni expressed appreciation to all the agencies for their continued cooperation and commitment to maintaining peace in the state. He noted that effective policing depends on strong partnerships and reaffirmed the Ogun State Police Command’s dedication to deepening collaboration, enhancing intelligence sharing, and ensuring the safety of lives and property.
