Apapa Customs Rakes in ₦215 Billion in One Month, Hails B’Odogwu System’s Growth.

The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) recorded an impressive revenue collection of ₦215 billion in August 2025, despite experiencing reported network hitches on the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), popularly known as B’Odogwu.
Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, Customs Area Controller of the Apapa Command, described the achievement as a result of growing confidence in the B’Odogwu system and ongoing improvements to the platform. He expressed appreciation to stakeholders and officers for their continuous support and resilience.
According to the statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Command Superintendent of Customs Tunde Ayagbalo,
“The August 2025 revenue collection is a testament to the dedication of our officers and the faith of stakeholders in the system,” Comptroller Olomu said. “Despite technical challenges, our team has remained committed to delivering results.”
Olomu highlighted that the success reflects stakeholder engagement efforts led by Comptroller-General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and reassured the trading community of further enhancements to the homegrown digital platform.
He further noted that the NCS Headquarters has directed the ICT/Modernisation Department to intensify efforts in addressing technical glitches, responding to user feedback, and ensuring consistent system upgrades for efficiency.
Describing B’Odogwu as a platform “built by Nigerians for Nigerians,” Olomu said the ₦215 billion revenue milestone signifies progress in building a reliable and transformative trade facilitation system.
And finally he said,“This is a collective victory,We are braving all odds, and the sky is our limit as we continue to push for even greater successes.”
